Custom Small Porcelain Pedestal Dog Bowl, Handmade, Personalized With Your Dog's Name

This line of bowls was inspired by a pretty little Maltese show dog named
LaTiDa who prefers her dinner in a pedestal bowl.

I hand letter every bowl without a stencil so that each one is unique. They
are a little time/labor-intensive, so it can take 4-5 weeks to finish.

A peek into my process:

I throw the bowls and pedestal on my potter's wheel, let them dry for a day or
two, trim them and attach the bowl to the pedestal. I then let them dry very
slowly for approximately 5 days to avoid cracking. Once it's completely dry, I
add your dog's name, first by designing the lettering in pencil to make it just
right, followed by the actual brushwork with black underglaze. The piece then
goes through two firings, first to the bisque phase and then through the glaze
firing.

This size is about 4" high and 3" across and holds about a half cup of dry
food or water. It's perfect for teacup breeds like Maltese, Yorkie, Chihuahua
and Pomeranian.

While these are dishwasher-safe and microwaveable, I would recommend that you
hand wash them and only pop them in the microwave for no longer than 8 seconds,
as it weakens the integrity of the clay body over time and may eventually cause
cracks or breakage.
