Sealed Wood Pet Food Bowl

We all get to eat from fine dishes and hand-made serving ware; Why shouldn't
our beloved pets?

This pet food bowl is made from solid Pacific Madrona, one of the hardest
woods in North America, prized for its intricate grain and beautiful depth of
color. The hardness allows the wood to be carved and worked to a beautiful,
smooth finish.

Its finished size is 19cm diameter x 4 cm tall, large enough to satisfy most
pets' appetites...

This food bowl is a beautiful piece, showing a mix of the natural tan, bronze
and red tones that are naturally found in Madrona. This piece will be durable
and long-lasting as it was deep sealed with penetrating urethane, followed by
four more coats to ensure a stable, durable finish. This finish is durable and
food-safe, making this easy to clean with soap and water and maintain its tones
for years to come. As with any natural wood product, filling with water,
soaking or machine washing are discouraged.

At IguanadonArts we pride ourselves in making all of our pieces in an
environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. All wood we use is sourced
by us, rather than by a lumber yard or commercial dealer. We focus on finding
our wood as windfalls, trees dead from natural causes, and wood that is felled
for reasons other than harvest. Once we obtain it, we then cut, mill, dry/age
and then work it ourselves to make it into the pieces we produce. Our finishes
are sourced as responsibly as possible, working to find products that both meet
our demands for quality while preventing materials from entering the waste
cycle.
